Vampire Academy

I am in love with all 6 books. These are the books I can read when I am sad and grow instantly happy. These books may be described as pointless fluff novels, but whoever says that SLAP THEM. Okay don't do that violence is not the answer, but they do need to be educated. The plot lines of these books SHOCK ME! That's a big deal because books don't really surprise me anymore. I can usually guess the ending, but holy moly these books keep me on my toes. At least they did when I first read them. I have reread these books more than I have reread any book series (Hunger Games excluded).
While this story is mainly a love story between Rose and Dimitri it is also a story about friendship. Lissa and Rose have a friendship everyone dreams for. And it doesn't even bother me when the couples break up all the time because their reasons ARE NOT STUPID. While it is frustrating it still makes sense. It also is about being swarmed by darkness. Or depression. You learn about forgiveness. You learn about love. You learn about friendship. And you cry... A lot. It's impossible to not cry when reading these books. Or if you don't get butterflies from just reading someone else's love story. Its incredible. I strongly encourage you to read these books. I honestly saw the movie trailer and thought, "Wow, that seems really stupid" but I was WRONG. And even the movie was great. I bought it three days ago and I've watched it 10 times already. I was the same way with Catching Fire. Hopefully, they will be convinced by fans to make Frostbite.

Surviving High School

High school can either be the greatest four years of your life or the worst four years of your life. I honestly hope they are worst, because high school is really stupid. Honestly. I am in the last two weeks of my junior year and it is literally the most pointless two weeks I'll ever have.

Tip Numero uno: Don't complain about how pointless school is.
YEAH WE KNOW. Tweet about it all you want, but no one wants to hear what they already know.

Tip Number Two: Find your crowd.
I was in denial that my school actually was cliché and had cliques, but trust me every school has cliques. I personally really love the theatre group. I am no associated with the theatre at all. But I have friends who are in theatre and I love them. At lunch we discuss everything from superheroes to equality. I also can fangirl to them about the various books I read and pretty much anything.

Tip Number Three: Don't let yourself be bullied.
And by that I don't mean confront your bully and throw shovels at them. I mean don't let other people's scorn get to you. Now I realize that is rather difficult. I still struggle with it. I desperately want everyone to like me, but trust me someone will hate you because you are awesome. Just surround yourself with friends that will listen to you rant about some mean girl and then call her a jerk at the end of said rant.

Tip Number Four: Take as many "smart people" classes as you can.
Whether it be a honors, AP, or a college class you should take it. You will learn so much in these classes. And not about the curriculum. You will learn about you. Trust me this will help you so much in life. Just don't sign up for so many that you are overwhelmed.

Tip Number Five: Learn to love/ respect your teachers.
Your teachers may seem like they hate you because they give you so much homework, but most really care about your well being. If you have problem go talk to them. They wouldn't be teachers if they hated kids. I don't know where I would be in life without my English teacher. And even if you really don't like your teacher's teaching style or personality you should still respect them. THEY DO SO MUCH. They deal with snobby children and grade so many papers. But they also have to worry about teaching you what you need to know. And also if you don't respect adults in your adolescence how do you expect children to respect you when your an adult? Golden rule people.

That is all my tips for the day. I think I'll make a segment of this. "Jamie's tips to getting through life", sounds catchy to me. Have a great day nerds.

The One-WARNING SPOILERS

So, today is May 6th the day the one comes out. I purchased the book at 6:30 this morning and I have just finished it!!!!!!! I have been waiting for this book for a year now and I'm gloriously giddy over the outcome. WARNING SPOILERS!!!!
How could I not post spoilers?!? I loveeeee Maxon and since I'm so jubilant because of the ending I think you could guess who America chose. I'm also proud Kiera had the guts to kill off beloved characters. I hate it when everyone in the book lives. I don't know maybe I'm weird, but I think books can be so much better when people die. First, America's dad. Now that made me want to cry. I didn't expect it at all. In fact, I didn't expect any deaths. However, I knew the second that America mentioned that her dad had history books that he was a rebel. It was kinda obvious. BUT KRISS???? A REBEL???????? I did not expect that one bit! I knew she would pick Maxon too and Aspen and Lucy would end up together. That was also obvious. I'm grieving the most for Celeste. Of course she died. She turned good. Isn't that the bread and butter of authors? I even did that in my book!! But once she said that I literally gasped! I didn't expect for the Southerns to be there! So to sum up, Cass surprised the crap out of me. With all the death that is. Maxon was the obvious choice. And I feel the need to say GOOD RIDENCE KING NOBODY LIKED YOU ANYWAY!

Anna and The French Kiss

The only reason that I decided to read this book was because in John Green's Youtube video he RECOMMENED it! Now it's no secret that I loveeeeeeeeeeee John Green, so when I watched his vid and he said he loved this book. I immediately bought the book. It is such a gooey romantic book! I love it so much! It is so cute! Now it isn't one of those "change your life" kind of books, but it makes you think about your personal relationships in a whole new way. It's a book that all young girls should read! I'm really surprised about how much I loved it. I am not a fan of books like this typically. For instance, when I read This is What Happy Looks Like I actually really disliked it. I'm not sure why I loved this one so much more. Maybe it's because I can relate more to this story. Minus Paris and the hot British guy. It just makes you feel all gooey after you read it. But besides the romance part, you can also learn so many valuable things about friendship. Anna isn't the best friend in this book to anyone besides St. Clair. I really hope that young girls who are just completely infatuated with their boyfriends will read this book and pay attention more to their girl friends. This is a great book for people of all ages and is definitely one of my favorites.

If I Stay

So if anyone in the world is actually reading or will be reading this I am going to pretend I'm famous with loads of people hanging on to my every word. I literally love reviewing books/ television shows/ movies, so naturally I guess I'll be doing that on here whilst adding my own sense of humor. Anyways, currently I am reading If I Stay by Gayle Forman. As of 7:11 on Friday May the 2nd, I am only a few chapters in. According to my kindle I am at 12%, so you can correlate that to how many pages or whatever you like. Soon enough (probably later tonight) I will finish it and update my thoughts on this book. However, so far I am quite enjoying this book. I have heard great things and so far the book has lived up to its praise. Forman's writing actually reminds me of John Green... In a way. Its difficult to explain, but people who have read both authors probably know what I'm talking about and if not then they're reading wrong.

So as of 10:30 on May the 3rd I have finished If I Stay and only one word comes to mind... WOW!
I haven't read such a powerful book since I read The Book Thief . I cant believe how much I cried. I barely even cried when I read TFIOS and that is one of my all time favorite books!!!!! It is such a refreshing story. And while you can easily predict the ending you will find yourself at the end before you know it. I didn't even realize I finished the book. I kept reading when I got to the Acknowledgments! I honestly think that this is one of the greatest books of all time. It makes you think about what you would do if you found yourself suddenly lost. Whether it be just a random hurdle you need to jump or a bridge you must cross into your next life. Sometimes life can do that. I guarantee you will think differently after you read this book and not only for a day or two. This book will haunt you for the rest of your life. You will always ask yourself, "Would I stay".

The next book I'll be reading is : Anna and the French Kiss

Intro: Fangirl

So, I'm a pretty normal fangirl. I read books. I watch many television shows. I have a tumblr. So on and so forth. You could say I'm a qualified fangirl. I'm an aspiring writer which is why this blog exists. The thing about being a writer (or wish to be one that is) is that you constantly need either inspiration or experience. I believe they fall hand in hand, but for the purposes of me expressing my thoughts we're just going to pretend they're different. This blog functions in the experience column and I am currently working on the inspiration part. See the thing is I can't seem to figure out my writing style. On here I may sound funny or sarcastic, but when I start writing my book I turn into a formal stick in the mud. Or maybe I don't. I'm not really sure because I'm not at all objective. So hopefully this blog will open up opportunities to sort out my personal feelings whilst getting writing experience (by the way "whilst" is my favorite word).
